About the Scholarship
Hello, this is Michael Connelly, the founder and director of Odyssey Training Center. The Sisters Scholarship Foundation’s goal is to pay for one half of the tuition for CAC I & II for eligible participants. The Foundation is in memory of my two sisters who both tragically died as a result of their history of addiction and trauma. My younger sister, Patsy, died at just 17 years old from a prescription drug overdose/suicide attempt after struggling with addiction and trauma through her painfully short life. My older sister, Caryn, died just last December at age 67 from decades of addiction and a lifetime of self-destructiveness common among trauma victims.  Before her death, we talked about her Will and what she should do with the little money that would be left. Together we decided that the most meaningful use of her money would be to help other women who have struggled with addiction and trauma. Her dying wish was that she could help other women like herself find help, support, understanding and inspiration needed to live, needed to take the first steps in recovery and finally to being a CAC.
