“When I was fresh out of my graduate program part of my job was driving people to their AA meetings,” Donna recalled. “I realized these people are the most courageous, transformed, amazing individuals I’d ever met. And that’s still how I feel about anyone who is willing to tackle a substance use problem. Their courage is just so inspiring.”
I want to keep moving forward in the treatment and prevention of growing epidemic of opiate addictions. I currently work with a chronic pain clinic as well as run a suboxone support group. I would like to increase the community awareness around the incredible dangers of the misuse of prescription opiates and continue to help those who are suffering with addiction to opiates.
